Our Team

We are dedicated to treating every patient as the unique person that you are. We look for individual solutions to your individual problems. Whether it is a functional problem such as crossbite or a more cosmetic problem such as a pronounced recessed chin. In either case, we are totally committed to providing you with excellence in all methods of prevention, correction and maintenance. We believe that orthodontic treatment can be an enjoyable experience. Our staff is dedicated to providing an atmosphere of “family fun” and professional excellence. Our staff holds certifications in radiology, CPR, OSHA and infection control. Frequent staff meetings are held to train, discuss and learn techniques, new and old, that better afford the team skill to provide the best available treatment. In addition, our staff participates in OSHA/Infection Control updates, CPR re-certification, TDA programs and MBT orthodontic programs.

Lisa – Office Manager

Lisa has been working with Central Texas Orthodontics for over eight years and in the field of orthodontics for 15 years in the business/insurance/reception area of the practice. She fully enjoys working with Dr. Cantu and the staff. In her off time, Lisa loves to get her hands dirty with refinishing furniture, painting and enjoys gardening and outdoor activities.

Barbara – New Patient Coordinator

Barbara has been working with orthodontic patients for 12 years. Getting to meet new people and help put a smile on their face makes her job rewarding. Barbara enjoys being with her husband and two children involved in family activities.

Monica – Clinical Coordinator

Our clinical coordinator has six year experience in Dr. Cantu’s office. Monica has an associates degree in human services. She is proficient in American Sign Language(ASL) and Spanish. when not in the office, Monica likes to volunteer her time as an intepreter for the deaf community, bike riding and enjoying life with her husband, Andrew and their three dogs.

Robin – Orthodontic Assistant

Robin has been assisting in the field of orthodontics for over eight years and with Dr. Cantu for two years. When Robin is not helping Dr. Cantu, she can be found dancing to country western music and spending time with her two sons out on their ATV’s.

Michael – Orthodontic Assistant

Michael has been with us for over a year. He received his Bachelors Degree in Finance from St. Edwards University and has his sights set on dental school in the next year. With what little time available, Michael enjoys mountain biking, traveling and staying in shape.

Lauren – Receptionist

Lauren has been working with Central Texas Orthodontics since high school. Lauren has been working with CTOrthodontics for over a year, while she attends college.

Mary – Laboratory Technician

Mary has been working in the orthodontic field for over 15 years, with the last six years with Dr. Cantu. Mary loves to make retainers and appliances with personal flair, which brings a smile to her patients. Swimming and spending time with her son, daughter and husband, Rob, are her favorite pastimes.

Sandra – Orthodontic Assistant

The newest addition to our orthodontic team is Sandra. She come in having over six years of experience in orthodontics and is excited to be a part of this talented,fun group. After work, Sandra loves to spend time with her three daughters doing arts and crafts.
